Data controller

What data is processed?

When you use the contact form, we process your name, phone number, email address, subject and message so that we can respond to your enquiry. For a job application, we also process the selected position, any LinkedIn or portfolio link, your description, CV, any attached application and your talent-bank choice.

The Horisont website does not receive payment information. During ordinary visits, hosting and security providers may process technical data such as IP address, time, device, browser and pages visited. Plausible provides aggregate visitor statistics without cookies or persistent identifiers. We also measure actions such as booking clicks, menu downloads and form submissions, but do not send form contents to Plausible.

When you open BookVisit, a service from Visit Group is loaded. Information entered during booking may include your name, contact details, dates, preferences, payment and reservation information.

Purposes and legal basis

• Contact and enquiries: our legitimate interest in responding to you and, where relevant, taking steps before entering into a contract.
• Recruitment for Hotel Bretagne and Horisont: our legitimate interest in assessing your enquiry and, where relevant, taking steps before entering into an employment contract.
• Talent bank: your separate and voluntary consent for us to retain your details and contact you about other relevant roles.
• Operation, security and troubleshooting: our legitimate interest in providing a secure and stable website.
• Bookings and stays: processing necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.
• Analytics and marketing: your consent, if these categories are activated.
• Legal obligations: processing required by accounting, tax or other legislation.

Job applications and talent bank

Hotel Bretagne ApS is the employer and data controller. Horisont Bar & Bistro is the workplace for the restaurant, kitchen and bar roles described on the jobs page. Confirming that you have read the privacy policy acknowledges this information and is not our legal basis for processing.

CVs and applications are sent directly to Hotel Bretagne through the hotel's email system and are not deliberately stored as a publicly accessible file archive on the website. Do not submit a national ID number, health information, trade-union information or other sensitive or confidential data through the form or attachments. If such information later becomes necessary, Hotel Bretagne will agree an appropriate secure channel with you.

Recipients and service providers

Data may be processed by providers supporting hosting, security, analytics and booking. Plausible provides cookieless visitor analytics, and BookVisit is provided by Visit Group. If you consent, Google may receive additional analytics data and Meta may receive marketing data when these services are connected.

Retention

Technical logs are retained only as long as necessary for operation and security. Your consent choice is stored for up to 12 months. Booking and payment information follows Hotel Bretagne's retention periods and applicable legal requirements.

Job enquiries that do not result in employment are normally deleted no later than 3 months after the specific recruitment process or assessment of the enquiry has ended. If you separately choose the talent bank, the details may be retained for up to 6 months from submission unless you withdraw consent earlier. If you are hired, relevant information may be transferred to your personnel file and retained under the rules that apply to the employment relationship.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability, and object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact horisont@hotelbretagne.dk. You may lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Booking and the hotel's other processing

This policy describes the Horisont website. Hotel Bretagne's general privacy policy also applies to stays, private events, newsletters and other direct contact, and is available at hotelbretagne.dk.
