At Horisont, Mediterranean flavours meet seasonal Danish produce. Meals bring people together, with food, wine and genuine hospitality at the heart of the experience. Overlooking Hornbæk Lake, we welcome local guests and hotel visitors alike, from lunch and dinner to a drink at the bar.

Your role at the hotel

You will be employed by Hotel Bretagne, with Horisont - Bar & Bistro at the centre of your daily work. You will take responsibility for the guest experience, motivate the restaurant team and work closely with the kitchen. You will help develop our concepts and play a visible role in daily service.

Hotel life is varied. Your responsibilities include breakfast, lunch and dinner service, private events, and preparing meeting and conference rooms. We are a small seaside hotel with 23 rooms and a committed team of permanent and hourly-paid colleagues. The hotel is open every day throughout the year, except between Christmas and New Year.

We hope you

  • Have experience in restaurant service and a sound knowledge of wine.
  • Enjoy working on the floor, take responsibility and motivate others by leading the way.
  • Show a genuine interest in guests and pay attention to both the details and the bigger picture.
  • Have a passion for hospitality, plenty of energy and the confidence to develop your skills and broaden our guests’ culinary horizons.
  • Speak fluent Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.

What we offer

  • Pension and health insurance for permanent employees.
  • Attractive staff discounts on dining and overnight stays at the hotel.
  • Significant influence and opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • Skilled, dedicated colleagues with a positive attitude and a willingness to help one another.
  • A workplace close to the lake and beach, within walking distance of Hornbæk Station, with a bus to Espergærde Station right outside the door.

Courage, professionalism and hospitality are our shared values. We put them into practice when working with our guests, one another and our suppliers.

We look forward to hearing from you
